On January 26, 2010, the Highway J Citizens Group, U.A. (HJCG) joined more than 80 other environmental, conservation and transportation organizations at the State Capitol in Madison for the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters' "Lobby Day" event to promote the following conservation priorities: 1) Preserving our groundwater, 2) Promoting a strong clean energy economy, 3) Restoring conservation integrity, and 4) Protecting Wisconsin's drinking water.  More information about these four "conservation priorities" can be found in the summary sheets attached in the first PDF link below.

Over 550 concerned citizens from the organizations listed in the second PDF link below participated in this major event and shared information about these four "conservation priorities" with state legislators from nearly all of Wisconsin's 132 legislative districts.

This is the fourth year that the HJCG has participated in this annual event.  As part of this event, the HJCG had an information table set-up in the Capitol Rotunda that included display boards, brochures and a presentation of our citizens group's promotional video.  Photographs of the 2010 "Lobby Day" event (including our HJCG table) can be viewed in the third PDF link below.
